Demand Living Wages
A living wage is a wage that is high enough to maintain a normal standard of living. Pro-Labor, religious, and social justice organization are increasingly calling for a raise in the minimum wage to support the cost of living for workers and their families, especially in areas, such as cities, where the cost of living is comparatively high. $10.74 is how much the federal minimum wage would be if it had kept up with inflation over the past 40 years. Instead, it’s $7.25/hour.
