Kenneth Bae, American Imprisoned in North Korea, In Steep Health Decline

Kenneth Bae, detained in a North Korean prison camp since November, has been moved to a hospital after a "serious deterioration in his health", according to CNN.

The Christian Missionary, who suffers from diabetes and other health problems, has been stricken with severe back and leg pain and has lost more than 50 pounds.

Earlier in July Bae had once again appealled to the U.S. government for help and wrote about his declining health in a letter, which according to his family said that it was difficult for his body to withstand 8 hours of daily farm labor.   He wrote then that he  "is trying his best to be strong and hold on."
