Socially Responsible Investors to Gather in the Rockies

The 24th annual SRI Conference on Sustainable, Responsible, Impact Investing will be taking place October 28-30 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Formerly called “SRI in the Rockies,” the SRI Conference bills itself as “the premier North American conference for the sustainable, responsible, impact (SRI) investing industry.” Hundreds of financial professionals and industry practitioners are expected to attend including licensed investment professionals, investors, nonprofit organizations, community development banks, credit unions, faith-based organizations, and groups that work with investors on social change initiatives.

According to First Affirmative Financial Network (First Affirmative), which owns and produces the annual conference, SRI investing represents a growing trend and reflects “an investment process that considers the social and environmental consequences of investments, both positive and negative, within the context of rigorous financial analysis.”

First Affirmative describes itself as “a leader in the sustainable and responsible investment industry for more than 20 years,” and focuses on developing investment portfolios that “align investors’ values with their financial goals.”
