From our Archives: Hosted by the Abrahamic Faiths Peacemaking Initiative on Memorial Day in 2007 over 600 Muslims, Christians and Jews gathered together to pray for peace and to celebrate the common heritage of their shared Abrahamic faiths. This video is offered today in the ongoing hope that the prayers for peace will overcome the calls for violence and we will one day become the human family we were created to be.

Nothing explains the importance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month better than a survivor's story. Please join Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center on Saturday, October 6 at JD Hamel Park in downtown Sarasota for "Stepping Out Against Domestic Violence." Registration begins at 8 am , Walk begins at 9 am. $5 registration fee covers the cost of a purple shirt, like the one shown in this video. We will walk in honor of survivors, those who have been killed by an intimate partner, and to speak out as a community that the violence must end with THIS generation.

These four very-short films aim to increase understanding of Alzheimer's disease. We call them"pocket" films because of their brevity and portability; they are designed to be viewed anywhere at anytime: a doctor's office, a Congressional hallway, a family living room. Anywhere a person can ask questions about Alzheimer's disease, here are some answers.
